FULLY PROVEN The process has more than one full commercial reference site that has been operating for at least two years on this feedstock at a relevant scale. Operational performance is consistent with international standards and has met the client’s expectations. |

PROVEN The process has been proven in sustained commercial operation but in a more limited fashion (the nature of this limitation is described in our comments). |

DEMONSTRATED The integrated process has been demonstrated to operate satisfactorily on the relevant feed material at a pilot or demonstration project, typically in a time-limited trial. Key performance parameters have been confirmed, though often at less than the targeted scale. |
 |
CONCEPTUAL This rating applies to a process concept for which there is very limited performance data available as yet. It is also applied when a company is promoting the technology for a new application or in a new configuration. |

NOT RATED
For various reasons we may decide not to give a process a rating (e.g. there may be insufficient information available at the present time). In each instance the accompanying text will explain the reasons. |
